INTERACTIVE PROTOTYPE

Breeding offspring with a specific genotype is one of the most important stages in the drug search process. Scientists need to test their hypothesis on real and genetically specific organisms. The production service is aimed at accelerated breeding of animals with precise parameters at the request of scientists. The project focused on vivarium management processes, including task and inventory management, as well as scientific project planning.

My tasks included participating in ux activities, generating ideas and hypotheses. Creating the entire design style of the application, creating an extensive library of all interface components, complex combinations and a style guide.

USER PERSONAS

Workshops and interviews with clients and focus groups, personas of roles, high-level information architecture and CJM.

UX ACTIVITIES

The requests are very different, they relate to different locations, stands and a complex selection of animals and tasks. The interface is divided into sections — the basis of the query and detailed tables.

REQUEST MANAGEMENT

Simplifying work with massive tables – the side navigation able to collapse and a slider between the sections helps to control the visibility of the sections.

VIEW PREFERENCES

The stands page contains a lot of information in tables. There are several filters here, and tables can have multiple nests. The cursor position is highlighted by the crosshair of the row and column.

A schematic representation of the physical stand with animal boxes gives the manager a visual idea of the fullness of the stand, the color coding of the slots shows the sex of the animals inside.
